I'll never listen to Beethoven the same way again

Epic isn't a huge enough word to describe this music or the movie it comes from. A clockwork orange is quite possibly the weirdest and greatest movie ever created. It's basically a mindfuck.
Brutal
Amazing
Fucked up to the extreme.
I feel that only art students or artists in general will really appreciate this movie. Or film lovers. A random "normal" person I feel wouldn't like this movie at all, but rather be repulsed by it's graphic violence and sex used throughout the movie . I however thought the deeper emotional and psychological issues that were slipped in during the course of the movie were extremely interesting.
If you havent seen it I highly suggest that you do. You're life will be very different for a few days, and you'll be looking and thinking about things in a weird light.

Art History 101

Cimabue and Giotto. Two very important and very famous artists from the Pre Renaissance period in history. I'm posting this because at the moment, I am doing my Art History homework and one of the things we focused on was the differences between these two artists. I think the clear winner is Giotto.
But then again, I do love the gaudy and shiny things. Probably due to my portugueseness. We love big gold glittery things. I have no idea why.
Anyways, art. Yeah that.
Giotto is a transitory artist that bridges the Gothic period. Both of these pieces are very simliar but Giotto focuses on the drama of what's going on and is starting to make way with perspective. It isn't great, but if you compare the figures on either side of the throne, you can see that in Giottos they look less "cut and pasted" and more human.
Like I said, bold shiny things.

And In the Beginning, There was Me.

Well, this is officially my first blog post. Oh, I feel so special. I can't promise that this blog is going to be super freaking fantastic and amazing and all sunshine lollipops and rainbows. But I can promise that i'll try my darndest to keep it up and keep it interesting.
I can officially say that I am a blogger now. I always thought that blogs were for people like my mom who blogged about cooking and scrapbooking... I'm about to prove that theory wrong!

The name is Kayla, and you'll love me. . . or hate me. Either way, as long as I envoke a strong feeling, I don't really care.
